At the Chair of Pharmaceutical Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), we develop new therapeutic approaches and biomaterials based on principles found in nature to better treat bacterial infections. We study the communication between bacteria and cells to discover new therapeutic strategies for inflammatory diseases.
Our research group currently consists of six doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, two scientists, two technical staff members, and a chair office (www.pharmbio.nat.fau.de)).

Your Tasks
- Conducting and supervising a practical lab course in the pharmacy degree program
- Imparting specialized knowledge and practical skills to students
- Mentoring and supporting students in their academic and scientific training
- Researching and analyzing current scientific literature
- Assisting in the preparation of manuscripts and scientific publications
- Developing and preparing grant proposals for securing external research funding
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of the research infrastructure of the group
Your Profile
- Completed scientific university degree (Master/Diploma [Univ.]) with a PhD in Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Knowledge of literature research and data processing software (e.g., Endnote/Citavi, SigmaPlot)
- Ideally, experience in successful third-party funding acquisition
- Additional knowledge of extracellular vesicles, infection therapies, or biomaterials, or immunology is an advantage
- Experience in organizing and conducting practical courses in pharmacy or related subjects is desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Corel software
- Very good English skills (at least C1 level) and good German skills (at least B2 level)
- Ability to work independently and a proactive attitude toward new projects
