Jean-Marie Devoisselle, Pharmacist, PhD in Biotechnology, from University of Lille II, France in 1988. Assistant professor at the UFR des Sciences Pharmaceutiques (University of Montpellier 1), full professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2000.

Director of a ATIPE research team involved in nanotechnology and drug delivery systems in 2000 and since 2015, director of the Institute Charles Gerhardt (UMR 5253 CNRS-UM-ENSCM).

His research is focused on drug delivery systems, targeting of drugs, controlled release and physicochemistry of the interaction of drug at interfaces. New materials are prepared by self-assembly of polymers or lipids and by sol-gel chemistry in order to obtain nanostructured composite materials (lipids, polymers/silica materials having various size and morphology).
